Went to Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. This event is held at Sam Boyd stadium and signals the end of the racing season for 2015. Great racing this year. Ken Roczen ended up winning the $100k. Jason Anderson the truck with 3 hole shots.
Veterans Eligible for Free Admission to Each of the 12 Rounds
of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship
Tickets Available Through Nonprofit Organization VetTix.org
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (November 11, 2013) – In honor of Veteran’s Day, MX Sports Pro Racing and the National Promoter’s Group (NPG) are proud to announce the continuation of an initiative with the Veteran Tickets Foundation, where active and retired military veterans will once again have the opportunity to attend any round of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, at no cost.
For 2014, Lucas Oil Pro Motocross has donated 50 General Admission tickets for each of the 12 rounds of the Nationals to the Vet Tix foundation. Tickets will be available to all military veterans three weeks prior to each event through VetTix.org.
“The donation of free tickets has dramatically widened the range of ways that veterans can relax, enjoy themselves, share smiles with their families and loved ones, and for some, be re-integrated into civilian life,” said CEO and Founder of Vet Tix Michael Focareto.
Major sports franchises from Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, National Football League, and National Hockey League have also partnered with Vet Tix, as have World Wrestling Entertainment and Professional Bull Riders. Lucas Oil Pro Motocross is one of the first prominent motorsports properties in the country to offer this one-of-a-kind service to all veterans of the armed services.
Vet Tix is a national nonprofit organization based in Phoenix that provides free tickets to veterans and active-duty members of the military and their families. The concept of Vet Tix was developed in 2008 by U.S. Navy veteran Michael Focareto. Since then, the organization has given away more than 725,000 tickets to veterans nationwide.
All active and retired military veterans can create an account on VetTix.org to receive emails and reminders about when Lucas Oil Pro Motocross tickets become available. More information about Vet Tix can be found at VetTix.org.
The 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship kicks off Saturday, May 24, with the Glen Helen National in San Bernardino, Calif. The world’s best riders will compete over the course of 12 rounds of action on the most renowned motocross tracks in the country.

Went to MEC this weekend. Great racing. I am a big fan of Ryan Dungey. He is a great rider and all around class act. Well, interesting thing happened to him in the first couple of races. He caught his shift lever on a tuff block bending the shift lever back to where he was unable to shift with his foot. Obviously this had an adverse affect on his lap times, but, he didn’t quit and just kept going ultimately taking second overall. Anyway here is an interesting picture of him shifting by hand in mid air.

Attended Hangtown this weekend. Great opening round to the MX 2012 season. James Stewart with his new Suzuki Team took first place in both Motos. Ryan Dungey after a bad start in Moto 1 cam back to 3rd. In moto 2, Dungey took 3nd behind Stewart,
In the 250 class Blake Bagget won both Motos. Roczen and Barcia came in second in the other 2 motos. Great racing.
The track was an a very observer friendly track. The area is a little hot. Found a great Restaraunt called Cattlemen’s. Very good Steak House.
We went to the Suprcross Finals this year in Las Vegas. Very good racing, the pits were a blast. Had lots of fun. Here are a few Pictures. Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., won his fourth Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, race tonight in front of a sold-out crowd of 39,509 at Sam Boyd Stadium. After leading wire-to-wire, GEICO Honda’s Justin Barcia, of Ochlocknee, Ga., won the final stop of the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites Class Championship. Barcia’s teammate Eli Tomac, of Cortez, Colo., also led all 15 laps of the Western Regional Supercross Lites Class Main Event, winning his fifth race of the season.

I am a real fan of the Supercross and Motocross racing series. For those of you that do not follow the sport, this year started out as one of the most tightly contested series ever. There were basically 5 different riders within tenths of a second from each other that could have won any individual race. As the season progressed, through injuries 4 of the top five guys were out. This left a basically wide open field allowing Ryan Villopoto to wrap up the series championship early. Well as things would have it, at least one more of the top five guys is returning this week. Ryan Dungey who had been out with a broken collarbone is set to return. If you are a fan of the sport, you can learn more here: http://www.racerxonline.com/2012/04/19/dungey-set-to-return-in-seattle
Supercross is one of those sports I love to watch. For those of you that don’t know a lot about Supercross, let me introduce you to Kevin Windham. Kevin is a long time verteran of the sport and at age 34 still one of the premier riders in the sport. He does amazing things on a bike and holds his own against much younger riders. One of the attractions that takes place in opening ceremonies of supercross has come to be known as the “transfer”. Basically, this is an insane crazy jump performed by Kevin Windham where he jumps from one part of the track to another. These jumps are amazing. Let me show you an example below where Kevin is practicing the transfer on media day. Enjoy …
